Judi Rollo,
1939 - 2010

It is with great sadness
that we announce the passing of Judi Rollo at the age of 71.
Judi was one of the
leading advocates in bringing to Canada, the Family- to - Family program
of the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) from the United
States. She became the program director for Ontario and had a large role
in seeing the spread of the program all across the province, in addition
to Dorval, Quebec. She immersed herself in
the organization of classes and in spreading the word all the while
being a volunteer. She continued in this role until her declining health
forced her to scale back her involvement. All of us at NAMI have
fond memories of Judi and she will be sorely missed.
Please check the website
again in the coming weeks as we will have more information about Judi’s
wonderful contribution to the Family-to-Family Programs and her enduring
legacy to families.
As the Family-to-Family program was so dear to her heart, Judi has
requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in her name be made and
sent as follows: NAMI Family-to-Family Program, c/o Madeleine Bertrand,
CMHA Ottawa, 1355 Bank Street, Suite 301, Ottawa, Ontario, K1H 8K7.
